Uploading local assets to Plainsight Cloud Storage for labeling
What is the Upload Local Files Source?
Upload Local Files allows you to upload your assets to Plainsight Storage for labeling. Your plan will have an included amount of storage available to host assets. This is a great option if you do not have an Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage bucket to host your datasets.
Note about storage: Private cloud users will be uploading assets directly into their cloud project. Assets will be stored in the <PROJECT_ID>_plainsight_uploads bucket.
Plainsight web users will have their uploaded assets stored in Plainsight managed cloud storage and the assets will count towards their allocated storage.
Supported image file types are JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, WEBP and video file types MP4, MOV, AVI, FLV, MKV, WEBM.
In the "Sources" tab of your dataset, click "Add Source"
Click the "Upload Local Files" option
Click "Choose files" and select the desired files from your computer.
Click Open. You files will begin uploading.
You will be taken to the Upload source view as the upload begins. The Processing Log shows the status of each asset. Uploaded images will be listed in the Images tab, and videos are listed in the Videos tab.
Viewing Files in Labeler
Once upload conversion is complete, image files are automatically added to the Labeler, ready for labeling. To label video data, you will need to generate frames from video.
